One style still bears the name of the Marquise de S\u00e9vign\u00e9 \u2013 the \u201cS\u00e9vign\u00e9 bow\u201d. In the Rococo era bows adorned necklaces, earrings and bodices, and in the 20th century they returned as an elegant touch to the evening dress.<\/p>\n<h2>Symbolism<\/h2>\n<p>A tied bow is seen as a sign of connection and promise.
